DC to AC Power Inverters by Vector

Inverters change 12 volts DC into 120 volts AC. When sizing an inverter for your needs, take into account the total load in watts for those appliances. For example: laptop computers only draw around 50 watts or less, color TVs can draw 200 watts or so. A toaster can draw 1000 watts. Motorized tools can draw even more. The inverters can handle momentary high starting loads of motorized tools. Our inverters provide a MSW (modified sine-wave) output. This is perfect for most AC applications (except for some AC-powered flourescent lights and some small wall type voltage converters). Some small fans may operate at higher RPM when used with inverters. Lower watt inverters can plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Higher watt inverters must be connected directly to the vehicle's battery. All of our inverters have protection against low input voltage, high input voltage, excessive load, and excessive heat. They are reliable and designed to operate continuously with no AC load to full AC load. No AC load inverters draw very little power from your battery. So size the inverter larger than you actually need. You won't have to buy another inverter when you add more AC appliances to the circuit.
