E Series Retractable Tonneau Cover by Roll-N-Lock

Built on ROLL-N-LOCKs time-tested M-Series platform, the new ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series tonneau cover embodies all of the quality and design characteristics of the M-Series tonneau cover, yet incorporates several revolutionary enhancements. From its easy clamp-on installation, laminated cover construction and patented tailgate locking mechanism, to its ultracompact housing size and rugged durability, the new ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series tonneau cover has all the benefits of the M-Series tonneau cover, with the added convenience of push-button remote control! Cover construction is a laminated assembly of specially formulated soft-touch bi-laminate vinyl, bonded to a series of 40-thousandths thick interlocking aluminum slats. This multi-layered construction gives the ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series tonneau cover the appearance and feel of a soft bed cover, with the strength and durability of a rigid bed cover.

Roll-N-Lock Corporation was established in 1992 by the management and engineering staff of Solaroll Shade and Shutter Corporation, a leading manufacturer of retractable (rolling) storm shutters since 1974. Many key members of the Roll-N-Lock management and design team have been working together for more than twenty years.

Unique Construction - Contoured, patented hinge design provides smooth, frictionless rotation. In the rotated position, the locking flange functions as a positive stop, minimizing stress on the surface material. In the flat position, the locking flange traps the radius of the adjacent slat, preventing disengagement when a surface load is applied.
Remote Control Operation - Using a standard key fob, and the power of an exceptionally reliable, internally mounted, 12-volt tubular motor, the E-Series opens or closes in only nine seconds on a full-size short bed truck.
Clamp-On Installation - ROLL-N-LOCKs patented clamp-on track design greatly simplifies the installation process while minimizing the need for drilling holes on most trucks.
Compact Housing - ROLL-N-LOCKs E-Series, like its M-Series counterpart, boasts the smallest housing in the industry, measuring only 7 " in depth for a full-size short bed and 8 " for a long bed. Cubic space requirements for the E-Series housing is a negligible 5% of total cubic bed space, and requires no floor space whatsoever.
Automatic Light - For convenience during nighttime use, every ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series is equipped with a built-in, remote control cargo light. With the push of a button the key fob turns the light on or off, but should you forget, the E-Series automatic timer shuts it off for you in two minutes.

Vinyl Material - The vinyl material used by ROLL-N-LOCK is a product of Haartz Corporation, the world's leading producer of automotive and marine grade vinyl. It was developed for use in direct exposure conditions and meets the specifications of the large automakers. The very same material is used on the door panels and dashboards of many of the world's most popular vehicles.
Drainage - Recessed drain fittings ensure rapid and complete drainage of the unit housing.
Tubular Motor Over Torsion Spring Drive System - ROLL-N-LOCK employs a heavy duty torsion spring drive which is housed in a 3" aluminum reel to ensure years of reliable use.
Built-In Tailgate Lock - Another feature of the ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series is its new tailgate Autolock (patent pending), which is automatically activated when the cover closes and de-activated when it opens. This system is also designed to be manually unlocked with the use of a key in the event of a loss of power.
Emergency Release Mechanism - Equipped with a specially-designed drive converter (patent pending), the E-Series can be instantly converted from electric to manual torsion spring-drive operation in the event of a power failure.

1. Roll-N-Lock unit impedes operation of the OE Bed Extender option.
2. Requires drilling holes to mount tracks.
3. OE cargo management system must be removed and discarded for installation of Roll-N-Lock unit. Consider the Cargo Manager option.
4. Needs eight (8) #2 bed clamps.
5. OE plastic tailgate cap must be replaced with 1/16" thick aftermarket tailgate cap.
6. Special Order Only. Must provide exact bedrail length at time of order.
7. Uses additional flanges (included) that screw or clamp to the inside edge of the OE bed rails. Allow additional 15 minutes for installation.
8. Ships in two boxes. Additional shipping charges may apply.
9. OE chrome bedrails must be removed and discarded. Mounting holes will be visible. Consider replacing OE bedrail caps.
10. OE tailgate cap must be replaced with aftermarket tailgate cap provided with system.
11. If equipped w/OE tailgate step, cover must be converted to an "NT" (no tailgate lock) installation. Necessary components are included.
12. Reduces OE trunk opening to 15.5".
13. '99 - '00 models require the use of eight (8) #2 Clamps.
