Jerry went to work in his garage, came up with a design and had a plastics fabricator produce his creation. He installed the fender flares on his friend's vehicle - and when off-road enthusiasts saw the results, an industry was born! Over the past 30 years, Bushwacker has remained the industry leader. The company holds a number of mechanical and design patents and has also developed new, resilient materials including their Dura�Flex� thermoplastic. Today, fender flares for off-road vehicles account for only a portion of Bushwacker's sales.
