These, along with a unique articulating mechanism, make the tailgate and the tire carrier open and close as a single unit and give it a hefty load rating of 200 pounds. The Bestop Oversize Tire Carrier adjusts to accommodate up to 35" tires, while black powder-coat paint helps protect the heavy-duty tubular steel against corrosion. Some drilling is required.
