The RS5000s twin-tube cellular gas design and ten-stage valve system deliver a comfortable highway ride and superb off-road performance. 22. Front shock must be installed rod end down (without shock boot).
23. Do not use with after market (stamped steel housing) ball joints. Use only with OE style (forged housing construction) upper ball joints.

27. Slight grinding of lower control arm is required.

29. I.D. of shock bushing is smaller than mounting pin & requires lubrication & extra effort for installation.
30. On 1976-81 CJ5, CJ7 Scrambler 2 Suspension System RS5119, RS9119, and RS99119 may be too short and you must use RS5113, RS9113, & RS99113 with Bump Stop Kit No. RS8203.
31. Bump stop must be lowered 2 or damage to shock will occur.
32. Steering arm may contact shock body on RS5113, RS5119, RS9113, RS9119, RS99119, on FJ43 & FJ45. Install shock boot towards ground for additional clearance.
33. This is a spring-seat shock absorber.
34. Part no. RS8125 axle shim kit may be required on rear axle for shock-to-axle clearance.
