Billet grilles come in a variety of styles and patterns.  The original billet grill was made to replace the actual car or truck grille.  This was a challenge with older model trucks because the existing grille had to be cut out and the new billet grill had to be retrofitted.  Today's billet grilles come in either the traditional full replacement or simple bolt over grill inserts.  In addition, traditional full replacement billet grills for new trucks come with simple install kits that use existing mounts and screw holes.  Little cutting or retrofitting is needed for new truck installations.
