When choosing a step for your Truck or SUV, it is important
to weigh style vs. function. Running Boards traditionally provide a
much wider step area than do nerf bars. However, truck hoop steps also
provide an excellent aid in getting in and out of your vehicle. In
addition, manufacturers are now making nerf bars in a wider 4" oval vs. 3"
round step, providing a much wider step area than traditional step bars.
However, it usually comes down to style for most customers. That is,
